BRADFORD Park Avenue have added another two friendlies to extend their pre-season schedule to six matches.

The first time that Avenue's management team of Martin Drury and Jamie Price will get a look at their new squad in a game will be on Tuesday, July 7 when they travel to Selby Town.

The two most recently-confirmed friendlies are also away but are 3pm kick-offs on Saturdays.

Avenue will visit Farsley Celtic on July 18 and Barnsley-based Shaw Lane Aquaforce on the first day of August.

Both are tasty warm-up games as their opponents have former Avenue men in their ranks.

Farsley have Rob O’Brien and Ross Daly, while Shaw Lane have just signed Alex Davidson.

Danny Frost left Avenue towards the end of last season to join the promotion-winning Shaw Lane squad that also had Luke O’Brien in their ranks.

Avenue’s game at Selby Town kicks off a busy pre-season for the area’s semi-pro clubs, and is just four weeks on Tuesday.

Thackley and Liversedge have also added more friendlies.

The Dennyboys will get underway with a visit from Scarborough Athletic on Thursday, July 15 and take on Oxenhope the following Saturday.

Sedge will now kick off the busy pre-season for the area’s semi-pro clubs on Saturday, July 4 when they visit Rothwell, and they will host St John Fisher at Clayborn on Tuesday, July 14.

New manager Jonathan Rimmington wants the first team and under-19 players involved in all of their warm-up games as he runs the rule over the entire squad.

Rimmington is also hoping to add a midweek game in the first week of August as preparation for his players before the Toolstation Northern Counties East League starts on Saturday, August 8.
