BRADFORD Park Avenue hope to finally return to action tonight after a month of postponement misery as they take on Tadcaster Albion in a West Riding County Cup semi-final.

Avenue's last run-out was at Worcester City 30 days ago and they tasted victory then, with Chib Chilaka scoring the game's only goal.

John Deacey's side came out of the hat first in the cup draw but they conceded home advantage to prevent another game at Horsfall Stadium with a backlog of league games to squeeze in.

Tadcaster play their football three divisions lower down the pyramid but Avenue know they will have a game on their hands.

Albion are five points clear at the top of the Toolstation NCE League Premier Division and are also in the quarter-finals of the FA Vase.

Avenue's Vanarama Conference North rivals Guiseley are also hoping to get back on the pitch as they host AFC Fylde in a promotion battle.

A frustrating run has seen the Lions endure four postponements and suffer two defeats since New Year's Day. They remain in fifth place but are only in the play-off zone on goal difference.

Second-placed Fylde would leapfrog leaders Barrow with a win tonight, so the incentive is there for them.

Farsley have arranged a friendly at home to Hunslet FC after last week's scheduled practice match against HT Sports fell victim to a frozen pitch. The kick-off is at 7.30pm, with entrance set at £3 for adults and £1 concessions.
