A DANNY Frost hat-trick on a freezing night at Horsfall Stadium powered Bradford Park Avenue into the West Riding County Cup semi-finals at the expense of neighbours Farsley.
What was expected to be a tight derby failed to materialise after early goals from Frost and Joe Colbeck put Avenue in a strong position.
Frost later added his second and Richard Marshall made it 4-0 just before half-time.
Former Avenue player Lewis Nightingale pulled one back for Farsley before Frost completed his treble.
Avenue keeper John Danby then saved a Nightingale penalty to maintain the home side's four-goal cushion.
Meanwhile, Brighouse Town have a big incentive in their tough Evo-Stik League trip to Spennymoor Town tomorrow night.
A win would lift Paul Quinn's men above their tenth-placed hosts in Division One North, although that would likely only be temporary as they have played four games more than Spennymoor.
