BRADFORD Park Avenue boss John Deacey has almost a full squad to pick from this weekend – and says he will need it with two testing Vanarama Conference North fixtures coming up in the space of three days.

They host fourth-placed Solihull Moors tomorrow and then, on Monday night, last season's runners-up North Ferriby United follow them to Horsfall Stadium.

Deacey said: "I have got a big selection headache with 17 or 18 players available and, to be fair, I'm going to need them with Solihull and then Ferriby. They are two very tough games.

"Solihull are really going well but we have had only one defeat in the last five games and we're building.

"I think we're going in the right direction and the least I can ask is that I've got most of my players back going into these games.

"It gives us a fighting chance and we're looking forward to the challenge."

Solihull are dangerous opponents as they look for the maximum that would take them to the 30-point mark and keep them in the play-off places.

Marcus Bignot won the manager of the month award for October and his Moors side are on a nine-game unbeaten run, during which time they have picked up 23 points from a possible 27.

Avenue can only dream of form like that as they sit a lowly 18th, averaging just one point per game. Yet they will go into tomorrow's game with the feel-good factor after Tuesday night's win.

Deacey's men were trailing 2-0 at AFC Goole in the West Riding County Cup but goals from Brad Barraclough and Danny Frost levelled the tie before a late strike from Jordan Deacey – the manager's son, back on loan for a month from Telford United – won it for Avenue.

That means Avenue have lost just one of their last five games, a sequence that includes a victory over leaders Barrow.
