BRADFORD Park Avenue's recent FA Cup record is on the line as they run the risk of going out of the competition at the first hurdle tomorrow.

Vanarama Conference North clubs come in at this second qualifying round stage and Avenue are up against their divisional leaders AFC Fylde.

The promoted north-west coast outfit will be favourites, despite being away from home.

Avenue boss John Deacey said: "We have got a tough game ahead of us because they are flying.

"They are top of our league and I definitely feel they are the best side we have played this year.

"It is going to take a massive effort – but it's the FA Cup, so anything can happen.

"If you looked at how Middlesbrough played against Liverpool in midweek, you would know what cup football is all about.

"I have had some great times in this competition down the years and since I've been at Bradford we have had some fantastic days.

"We can build on earning a clean sheet last weekend and on the fact that it was a close game against Fylde in the league.

"We know it will take a big effort but we will be doing our very best to progress."

Fylde have won six games on the trot since Guiseley held them to a goalless draw last month.

They have not conceded in their last two games, so the last team to score against them were Avenue in their 2-1 loss at Fylde.

Avenue will be without the cup-tied Luke O'Brien as the former Bantams defender captained Thackley in an earlier round. Injuries mean Deacey has a squad of just 15.

Meanwhile, Farsley have already battled through two rounds – one against a club from a higher division – and they also have a difficult task tomorrow, heading to Avenue's divisional rivals Gainsborough Trinity.

Neil Parsley's men are riding high in the Evo-Stik League so will be aiming to take that form with them into the cup against a club two steps higher up the pyramid.
