Guiseley 3, Stalybridge Celtic 1

Guiseley stretched their unbeaten run in Skrill Conference North to seven games after coming from a goal down to take all three points from Stalybridge Celtic’s trip to Nethermoor tonight.

The visitors had taken an eighth-minute lead when Joel Bembo-Leta poked in from close range, and they held their slender lead until the break, but the Lions turned the game with a battling second- half display.

Guiseley were level just five minutes after the break when Danny Ellis converted a corner with a powerful header, and the game was turned on its head nine minutes later as the Lions took the lead, Danny Hall slotting in.

The Lions were rampant at that stage and it did not take too long for them to seal their victory.

Man of the match Ellis cemented the win with another firm header from another set-piece.

The three points took Guiseley through the 50-point barrier but they stayed in ninth spot.

Tomorrow night it is the turn of neighbours Bradford Park Avenue as they welcome Gainsborough Trinity to Horsfall Stadium.

Avenue are 13th but would leap above Stockport County with a home victory.

However, Gainsborough will be focused on a win themselves as they would overhaul their hosts should they bank a maximum.

Bradford boss John Deacey does not expect to be making too many changes to the side that started following Saturday’s goalless draw with promotion-chasing Harrogate Town.

Deacey said: “We have got such a small squad and I had to let Danny Glover go last week due to financial reasons. I would have loved to have seen Danny stay at the club but it wasn’t possible.

“That left me with Adam Clayton, who is waiting for a hernia operation, and my assistant Mark Hume among the five substitutes.

"It won’t be any better tomorrow night but Alex Davidson and Nicky Boshell are close to returning from their injuries and could be back for Saturday.”

In other results tonight, Thackley were pegged back at home to Brighouse Town in the big Toolstation Northern Counties East League Premier Division derby.

Following a goalless first half, James Firth gave the Dennyboys the lead but Ernest Boafo’s strike four minutes from time rescued a point for title-chasing Town.

Albion Sports were 4-0 winners at basement outfit Lincoln Moorlands Railway.

Thomas Dugdale scored the only goal of the first half but Danny Facey, Dugdale and Karl Hall all found the target after the break.

Liversedge were beaten 7-1 at home by Worksop Parramore in the same division, while Eccleshill United also lost heavily, going down 4-0 at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic in Division One.
