Alexandra Bell, a budding star from Pudsey & Bramley Athletics Club, has made sure she's on top form for the new outdoor season by attending England Athletics - Yorkshire & Humberside's regional squad training day, which marked the start of the track and field season.
Held at Sheffield's England Institute of Sport, the training day included intense fitness sessions and specialist coaching in each athlete's individual event with some of the region's leading athletics coaches.
Alexandra, 15, an up-and-coming 800 metre runner, said: "The England Athletics' training day was excellent.
"I'm feeling fitter than ever and now feel 100 per cent mentally prepared to achieve my best results in competition this season."
The event was supported by CE Electric UK - the region's electricity distributor, the National Sports Foundation and Sportsmatch.
