Bingley Ladies made a winning start to defending their English Fell Running Team Championship title at Black Combe in the south Lakes.

Natalie White continued her excellent form to win comfortably in 1hr 22min 0sec, backed up by Sharon Taylor who, after a slow start, pulled through to third (1:25:30) and Ali Raw, whose sprint finish for ninth place (1:29:47) sealed the win by a single point from Calder Valley.

In the men's race, Rob Jebb (Bingley) was a clear three-minute winner in 1:07:54 over Pudsey & Bramley's Rob Hope.

Bingley's Ian Holmes was first vet in 11th but couldn't prevent Pudsey & Bramley claiming victory in the team event.
