World triathlon champion Alistair Brownlee is among 1,000 students expected to take part in the first event of the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) season in Scotland on Saturday.
The BUCS Cross-Country Championships, hosted by the University of Stirling, will take place from the Stirling campus at noon.
Brownlee’s fellow Leeds Met Carnegie triathlete Lois Rosindale, who has already won the BUCS Hill Climb Cycling Championship, is also expected to take part.
