Gold and bronze for Harrier Allan


Josh Allan ran a personal best to take the 400 metres title as Bingley Harriers finished fifth in the Northern Knockout Cup final.

Allan won by more than half a second in 49.23 before producing another personal best (22.74) to take bronze in the 200m.

Oliver Robinson (53.95) secured the 400m hurdles title while Matthew Cottam came second in the 100m with a time of 11.26.

Bingley, up against the like of City of Manchester (Sale), Kingston Upon Hull, Leeds, Trafford, Blackpool, Rotherham and Scunthorpe, also saw Lee Athersmith (9:52.92) miss out on first spot in the 3,000m steeplechase by a margin of just 0.3 seconds.

Janine Crosby (35.53m) finished runner-up in the discus and Carly Robertson (2:21.9) came third in the 800m.
