The countdown is on to the first ever Epilepsy Action Bradford 10k run.
The event, which starts and finishes in Bradford's Centenary Square, promises to be spectacular, with hundreds of runners pounding their way through a city centre route.
And it is only two weeks away - taking place on Sunday, April 20.
Melanie Taylor, of Epilepsy Action (the UK's largest member-led epilepsy organisation), said: "We've already had a great response to this race and massive support from the people of Bradford. We're hoping it will become a firm fixture in the city's events calendar for years to come.
"A number of elite runners will be taking part on the day alongside novice runners. The course is ideal for runners of all abilities because it is flat and is perfect if you're trying to record a personal best time."
Greens Health and Fitness, Shipley and Eccleshill Fitness First are sponsoring the event. Between them, they will be providing a pre-race warm-up, race prizes, FREE day passes and goodies for all entrants. The event is also supported by the bActive campaign and Airedale Athletics.
Hundreds of people have already signed up to take part in the event but there is still a short amount of time to get involved. The deadline for people to sign-up for the race is Monday, April 14.
Melanie said: "There is just over a week left for you to sign-up to take part. This will be the inaugural Epilepsy Action Bradford 10k so why not be a part of history and raise money for a fantastic cause at the same time?
"Epilepsy Action is a national charity that directly helped over 730,000 people last year through our range of services and it is events such as this which help fund our vital work."
For further information about the race, and to sign-up to take part, visit the Epilepsy Action website, or call Melanie Taylor on (0113) 210 8800.
If you don't feel able to join in the run but would still like to help out we are looking for volunteer helpers on the day. If you can lend a hand please call Melanie Taylor on (0113) 210 8800 or email her at mtaylor@epilepsy.org.uk
