Keighley Central Judo Club are celebrating a double honour.

Junior member Jessica Copperwaite won a silver medal in the British Judo Association's Northern Championships in Bradford.

This followed clubmate Colin Benzie's efforts in getting a gold medal at the British Judo Council's National Championships in Hereford, and then repeating his success soon after in the National Grade and Veterans' Championships in Leicester.

Following this triple, and in recognition of his success and continuing development, Colin was awarded his Black Belt.

Now Colin and Jessica, plus fellow club member Richard Kirkland, have been invited to train with the national squad.
