O'Brien holds her own in Fez

Katie O'Brien won a set in both her singles and doubles matches last week at the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour event in Fez, Morocco.

The 20-year-old former Woodhouse Grove pupil lost 6-7 (7-9), 6-4, 6-1 to France's Emilie Loit in the singles and, partnering South Africa's Kelly Anderson, went down 6-3, 3-6 (10-2) to Catalina Castano (Colombia) and Anne Kremer (Luxembourg) in the doubles.
