Yorkshire Division Five: Wibsey 12 Garforth 0
WIBSEY made it 12 wins from 12 - eight this season and four last - in an attritional match against the last time to beat them.
Luke Wilson put the home side ahead with a try in the 17th minute, and there was no further scoring until back-rower Michael Kite, who came into the starting XV when Jon Nall pulled a thigh muscle in the warm-up, scored his first try for Wibsey in the 49th minute, Brad Wright converting.
Both Garforth, who beat Wibsey 18-17 away from home on November 21, 2015, and the hosts had chances after this but defences were on top in a forward-oriented game on a chilly afternoon.
Hooker Mark Darragh edged out Kite for the man of the match award.
Wibsey are eight points in front of Mosborough, who lost 20-14 at Thirsk last weekend, and 14 points clear of third-placed Knaresborough, who Wibsey visit on Saturday, November 19 - but the hosts have a game in hand.
