Yorkshire Division Five: Wibsey 38 Sheffield Oaks 12
LEADERS Wibsey needed the wise words of coach Rob Greenwood at half-time to help them maintain their 100 per cent record.
The hosts had set off like a house on fire with two converted tries in five minutes but rather lost their way after that, conceding two tries as the visitors narrowed the deficit to 21-12 by the interval.
Greenwood's talk had the desired effect, and Wibsey won the second half 17-0 to make it seven wins out of seven.
Centre Chris Clough scored the first try in the second minute and made the next for skipper James Brown, James Sawyer converting both for 14-0.
However, they largely played second fiddle after that up to the interval as, despite a Clough try that Sawyer converted, they conceded two tries and a conversion.
Wibsey's concentration was back to normal in the second half, and they added tries by Kyle Carter (50 minutes), a first for the club for Stuart Fisher (59) and Chris Farley (61), with Sawyer converting the first of those three.
Clough and Brown, who operated on a different plane to everyone else on the pitch, shared the man of the match award.
