Yorkshire Division Five: Rossington Hornets 5 Wibsey 64
WIBSEY gave a better second-half performance in making it four wins from four ahead of their top-of-the-table clash at home to Mosborough on Saturday.
Missing six regular forwards, the visitors' makeshift pack performed well against a big home pack, laying the platform for their backs to have some fun.
Skipper James Brown set the ball rolling for the visitors with two tries in the opening 25 minutes, and he was followed over the whitewash in the first half by centre Chris Clough and winger Bruce Mpofu, with 17-year-old Brad Wright adding two conversions.
Tries in the second half went to Clough, seasonal debutant James Sawyer, 18-year-old replacement Isaac Khan (2), Mark Darragh and Jake Green, with Wright tagging on four conversions and Kyle Carter one.
Rossington Hornets got their only try in thre 77th minute, courtresy of some slack Wibsey defence.
Darragh and Clough ran Brown close for the man-of-the-match award, while Sawyer, Wright, who converted six out of seven, Khan and debutant lock Charles Marsh also impressed.
