WIBSEY have progressed to the semi-finals of the Yorkshire Division Five Cup after Rossington Hornets failed to fulfil their second leg in Bradford.
Hornets won the opening leg 32-22 in south Yorkshire but their recruitment officer Mike Robertson explained: "The second leg should have been played the weekend before but was called off due to the weather, and we struggled to raise a side for the re-arranged date and so waived the match."
Wibsey, who were awarded an 11-0 victory to triumph 33-32 on aggregate, now play their last-four tie at Stanley Rodillians on Saturday, while the other semi-final is between Garforth and Hornsea on a date to be arranged.
