Yorkshire Division Five: Wibsey 43 Hallamshire 3

WIBSEY have won three league matches in a row for the first time since the spring of 2013.

They followed up their victories over Hornsea and Thirsk with a 43-3 drubbing of Hallamshire at Northfield Road, matching their Yorkshire Division wins over Garforth, Rossington Hornets and Wensleydale between February and April 2013.

And Wibsey's man of the match was No 8 Chris (CJ) Vogel, who bagged a second-half hat-trick, other tries coming from Dan Horsfall (11th minute), Chris Farley (30th), Bruce Mpofu (45th) and Mark Darragh (60th), with James Sawyer adding four conversions.

The only blemish for Wibsey was the sin-binning of Horsfall in the 38th minute, while Vogel did a passable impression of the Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, or maybe former England prop Fran Cotton, after emerging from the mud following his third try.
