With the weather having changed little for over a week, local clubs are not optimistic about beating the freeze on Saturday.
Baildon have an RFU Junior Vase tie at home to Seghill, with the winners guaranteed a place in the last 16 of the Twickenham trail.
But the Jenny Laners haven’t even named a team as they are so certain their game will be put back until next weekend.
Baildon’s rugby chairman Andy Whitley said: “We are inspecting tomorrow tea-time as we don’t expect conditions to change between then and 9.30am on Saturday.
“The forecast if for minus seven or minus eight overnight tomorrow. ”
Bradford Salem also have grave doubts about their home SSE Yorkshire Division Two derby against Leodiensian.
Salem’s first-team manager Neil Klenk said: “I have been up to Shay Lane every afternoon and it has been frozen.”
Keighley will make another attempt to play their Yorkshire Division One home match against Bridlington but prop Paul Sinfield is not available.
Bradford & Bingley also have the same National League Three North same fixture as last weekend, and Bees secretary Nick Patterson said: “Hosts Waterloo were wildly optimistic about the prospects of play last Saturday, so we’ll see what Saturday brings.”
The visitors have Richard Tafa back from suspension but whether he starts or is on the bench is less certain.
Cleckheaton have named the same squad as last weekend for their North One East match at Durham City but are doubtful whether the match will be on.
Wibsey think the best chance of playing their Yorkshire Division Five match at home to Adwick le Street will be to switch the match to Doncaster.
Wibsey’s coach Dave Grayson said: “We haven’t played them away from home, so we will discuss switching it but I doubt that even that will save us from the frost.”
The mid-table basement side hope to have centre John Nall available after his hand injury.
