When you are second in National League One, like London Scottish, you don’t have full-blown weaknesses.
But Otley skipper Howard Parr believes he saw a relative weakness in tomorrow’s visitors to Cross Green when the exiles won the reverse fixture 37-14 in November.
Parr, who missed last weekend’s 50-18 defeat at Launceston as it came in the aftermath of his father’s funeral, said: “London Scottish are obviously a good side as they wouldn’t be where they are in the table, and their backs gave our backs no room to manoeuvre whatsoever.
“But, from what I remember, their forwards were relatively weak, and I mean relatively, and maybe that is an area we can exploit if we have a full complement.”
They key part of Parr’s sentence, however, are the last six words because third-from-bottom Otley picked up a few injuries on their trip to Cornwall last weekend.
Parr added: “Our coach Gary Walker wasn’t naming names when I discussed the Launceston match with him but we have even delayed training from last night until tonight in order to give people as much chance as possible of playing.”
