Sedgley Park 44, Otley 18

Hoping for something out of this re-arranged National League One game tonight, Otley only shone for brief periods, and their usual midfield defence was all at sea, fatal mistakes being made in the second half.

They were soon behind, a second-minute penalty from full back Steve Nutt being followed by a try to centre Matt Riley, running onto a short pass from the back of a five-metre scrum.

Nutt converted and a second penalty from Nutt and a try from fly half Richard Wainwright had Park 20 points up, with Nutt adding the extras.

But Otley rallied with a penalty from centre Ben Hough and a try from fly half Christian Georgoiu.

Hough added a penalty as Otley found their game but poor covering allowed winger Mike Roberts a try, followed by a try for former Otley centre Chris Hall.

Matters only got worse, replacement wing Tom Blackwell being presented with tries in the 75th and 79th minutes, Nutt adding a couple of conversions.

Hough scored a consolation try in added time and kicked the goal.
