    Youngsters freshen up Bees

Bradford & Bingley, now safe from relegation from National League Three North, can do their midweek victims Morley a favour on Saturday by defeating Macclesfield at Wagon Lane.

One of the most heartening aspects of recent weeks for the Bees has been the impact made by locally-based youngsters in the team.

Club secretary Nick Patterson said: "One of our aims at the start of the season was to reduce the average age of the team from 29 by bringing in local lads aged from 19 to 21.

"Chris Fisher was the first to emerge and has been followed by Joe Fawcett, Richard Scull and Danny Cookson.

"Also, with the addition of Patrick Pole and Rodney Turner, when we have Barry Clark and Richard Hughes back, we feel we have the best four second rows in the division."
