Coach Dave Grayson described last week’s postponement of Wibsey’s home match against Adwick le Street in SSE Yorkshire Division Five as “a Whitehall farce”.

He said: “We couldn’t play it at Beldon Lane as all matches on Bradford Council pitches were off, and we tried to find an alternative ground - even switching it to Adwick le Street, but once they found out we were coming with a lot of players, they called it off.

“We have an interesting test on Saturday at leaders Hornsea, who are 40 league points better off than us.

“But at least we are travelling with 19 men and are at full strength – we have a couple of our university lads back – whereas when we lost 64-5 at Marist on November 19, we only had 13 men.

"It will be interesting because it is a test of where we would like to be against where we are now.”
