Old Grovians were beaten 28-10 by Hemsworth in their promotion play-off semi-final.
Grovians went into the game on the back of a seven-match winning streak.
However, they endured a frustrating afternoon against a strong Hemsworth pack but can go into next season in the knowledge that they have made great progress this season both on and off the pitch.
Grovians’ points came via a Kris Lilley penalty, a Nick Fawcett try and a Lilley conversion.
