SSE Yorkshire Division Five
Rossington Hornets 17
Wibsey 3
THE turning point in this SSE Yorkshire Division Five encounter came when Wibsey's Bryn Worsley took a quick tap penalty 15 metres out with his team trailing 5-3 when all the advice from the touchline was to kick the three points.
"If it had come off and Bryn had scored in the corner, we would have been 8-5 or 10-5 ahead, but unfortunately he knocked on," said Wibsey's first-team manager Steve Brooke.
Elliott Gray kicked Wibsey's penalty but they were generally second best in the pack and saw little of the ball in the final 20 minutes.
Flanker Chris Farley and No 8 James Birkbeck were the visitors' stand-out players.
