Yorkshire Division Four North West: Burley 20 Wibsey 19
WIBSEY were within a successful conversion of making it four wins out of four this season.
They were trailing 20-19 at Burley in Yorkshire Division Four North West but Brad Wright, under pressure from the referee to get a move on, missed the kick and Wibsey lost by a point.
The visitors and the hosts lost a player injured in the opening ten seconds after a clash of knees, with prop Simon Birkbeck being hurt for Wibsey.
Props Andy Rose and Alex Cerson, who was moved from the second row, both therefore had to play for 80 minutes in the front row.
Burley scored two close-range tries, one of which was converted, but the visitors hit back with an excellent team try that was finished off by Ryan Goldsborough, with Wright converting.
The hosts extended their 12-7 lead to 20-7 with a penalty and a try, but Wibsey hit back with tries by man of the match Michael Kite and Kyle Carter, with Wright adding the conversion to Kite's effort before the dramatic finale.
