YORKSHIRE Carnegie captain Ryan Burrows is confident his side can finish the job and secure promotion to the Aviva Premiership as they take on favourites London Irish in the Greene King IPA Championship final.

Carnegie play the first leg at Headingley tonight and former Cleckheaton loanee Burrows, who is Yorkshire's player of the season, is hoping that a big crowd will be there to back them.

Burrows, who joined the Leeds club in 2011-12 but is leaving at the end of the season for Newcastle Falcons, said: "We are in a positive mood heading into the final two games.

"Although we were disappointed with the performance in the second leg of the semi-final against Ealing, we have learned a lot of lessons from that and are confident we can put that behind us and improve in the final two games.

"We have been training well and the players are excited for the games and what we have the potential to do."

Carnegie head coach Bryan Redpath has made four changes to the starting line-up from the team which played against Ealing Trailfinders in the semi-finals.

Tom Casson, who replaces the injured Andy Forsyth, returns for the first time since the league fixture against Doncaster, while Seb Stegmann is preferred on the wing in place of Stevie McColl, who is named on the bench.

In the forwards, Charlie Beech will start, with former Prince Henry's Grammar School pupil Lewis Boyce among the replacements, having suffered from a foot injury in recent weeks.

Mike Mayhew returns at hooker in place of former Bradford Salem coach Phil Nilsen, who misses out.
