WIBSEY are facing their biggest match in well over a decade on Saturday.

The unbeaten Yorkshire Division Five leaders travel to second-placed Mosborough, who are only two points behind but have played a game more.

"We feel like this is for the title, and we haven't played a more crucial game since we were promoted from Yorkshire Division Six in 2001-02," said Wibsey's team manager Steve Brooke.

"We know that Mosborough will be up for it but we want to get out of this division – preferably by winning the championship – as we want a 22-game season in 2017-18 and not a 14-game one where the league fixtures are finished in January."

The visitors are without experienced duo Chris Clough and Stuart Fisher due to family commitments, and are also missing Richard Lucas and Ryan Taylor, but have still named a squad of 25 that includes 17-year-old Yorkshire rugby league player Elliott Culling.

BRADFORD & BINGLEY will wait until the last possible minute to give fly half Gerhard Nortier a fitness test on the calf he has re-injured before naming their side at second-placed Alnwick in North One East.

The Bees are up to fourth on the back seven straight wins, so it is another pivotal encounter.

If Nortier is ruled out, then centre Schalk Oosthuizen or Richard Tafa could wear the No 10 shirt.

BAILDON coach Andy Pollard will be interested to see which one of his teams turns up when they travel to Leeds Medics & Dentists in Yorkshire Division Three.

The Jenny Laners won their opening seven matches but have lost three of their last six.

Pollard said: "I don't mind if we lose to a team that are better than us, such as when we lost to Knottingley, but what annoys me is when we lose to a poor team."

The match is listed as being at Jenny Lane in some lists but has been switched because the earlier match was played there when Leeds Medics & Dentists' ground was unavailable.

KEIGHLEY'S speed and strength should be enough to give them victory at spirited Acklam in Yorkshire Division One, while OLD GROVIANS are set to hand a debut to former Harlequins prop Alexander Dodd-Jones at home to West Park Leeds in Yorkshire Division Two.
