National League Two North: Sedgley Park 32 Otley 17

FAILING to score from a good opening move, Otley quickly found themselves in arrears, a storming 25-metre drive by the home forwards putting former Otley hooker or back-rower Johnathan Matthews over for fly half Stephen Collins to convert.

Hooker Matthews was on hand to add a second try from a similar move to establish a 12-0 lead in just ten minutes.

Maintaining the pressure, Sedgley Park steadily moved the score along, Collins adding a penalty for Otley not rolling away from a tackle, while on 24 minutes he slipped through the visitors' defence for a try.

Otley, however, were beginning to get into the game, a penalty chance shaving the posts, only for them to leak another try, flanker Max Scofic finishing off a strong attack to set up a 25-point lead.

The visitors did, however, open their account just before the break, winger James Wood collecting the ball 60 metres out and using fly half Nick Coupland as a foil before evading the cover to speed to the line.

Mirroring the previous week's game, the Otley pack began to take charge, and three minutes into the second half full back Tom Hodson collected a loose ball to leave the cover standing to score, Coupland then following his deft chip to score under the posts for Hodson to convert.

In an effort to snatch a possible two bonus points, Otley let full back Richard Wainwright in at the posts on 80 minutes for Collins to convert.
