Yorkshire Division Two: Old Rishworthians 25 Keighley 18

KEIGHLEY'S winning run ended at 19 league matches, and they were lucky to get a losing bonus point.

Rishworthians started really well, starving Keighley of possession and forced themselves into the visitors' territory, only for Keighley to be too frenzied when they got a chance.

The hosts' stranglehold then resumed and neat interpassing in midfield led to a well-taken try under the posts for centre Taniela Bakosa, the conversion being added by fly half Josh Kelly.

Keighley, with slow service from their scrum half, looked lacklustre and were unable to offer anything in attack, Rish adding a Kelly penalty before winger Anthony Shoesmith scored a try in the corner.

With the half coming to an end, Keighley mounted a rare attack and, from a strong drive, hooker Will Armitage scored wide out.

The second half started well for the visitors, and a long miss pass by Ben Blackwell found winger Sam Walker in full flow, and he forced his way over the last defender to score in the corner.

A little later, further pressure from flanker Josh Hannah forced Rish to concede a penalty, giving a further three points for Alex Brown.

Although Keighley were intent on raising their tempo, fierce tacking blunted a number of promising attacks, and they kicked the ball away for Kelly to score a simple try and convert.

Kelly added another penalty before Walker again forced his way over in the corner to gain that losing bonus point.
