WHARFEDALE may be safe from relegation but their players better not be getting out their pipes and carpet slippers just yet.

With four games left in SSE National League One – Richmond and Esher away and Macclesfield and Hartpury College at home – Greens coach Jon Feeley is adamant that there is plenty to play for.

He said: "There are two targets left – finish as high as we can in the table and retain the Yorkshire Cup. The season is not done yet, and just because we are mathematically safe, I don't want players to forget about the honour of wearing the shirt."

Feeley also admitted that the fact that his club have secured a 20th successive season at level three will not affect his selection policy in the matches that remain this campaign.

He added "The players have earnt their right to that shirt."

However, he did leave the door open for changes when it comes to the Yorkshire Cup – they are at Morley in a quarter-final on a date to be decided – to see if the pool of players capable of playing at a higher level can be widened.

Wharfedale are at Richmond – who are four places but only six points ahead of their visitors – on Saturday, with the Greens winning the home clash 29-19 in November.

Two of Wharfedale 's young stars – Jamie Guy and Cameron Hudson – are on a holiday that was planned before they even joined the club, while Taylor Prell is absent ahead of his duties with England Under-19s.

Their absence gives fly half Harry Bullough a starting berth alongside promising centre Huw Morgan. Lloyd Davies is at full back, with Josh Prell coming on to the wing.

In the pack, Chris Steel returns to the fray on the bench alongside Nathan Myers and Will Davidson.
