SSE Yorkshire Division Three: Baildon 21 Rotherham Phoenix 20

LEADING 18-5, having played downhill and downwind in the first half, Baildon managed to hang on for victory, courtesy of an Oli Waddington penalty in the second half.

This was the third meeting between the teams this season, with the ledger at one apiece, and, although Phoenix scored from an early rolling maul, regular try-scorer Joe Moore levelled matters with a try in the tenth minute.

He scored another try in the first half, with Waddington adding a conversion and two penalties.

Although lock Tom Peel should have put Sam Thompson over for a try in the second half, opting to go himself and being foiled, Baildon still notched their seventh league win of the season.
