AIREBOROUGH Lions have become the first side from their age group to reach the Yorkshire Cup semi-finals.
They defeated Old Brodleians 14-7 in a pulsating encounter at Nunroyd Park, Harvey Sellers setting the tone with a superb tackle which prevented Brods from taking an early lead.
Tries from Dan Islam and Harry Jackson enabled Aireborough to secure a narrow tight victory which booked a semi-final at Sandal on Sunday.
Lions coach Granville Sellers said: "The boys were magnificent and fully deserve their place in the semi-final of this prestigious competition."
