THE double-winning Bulls women are to be honoured at a civic reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of Bradford tomorrow.
Councillor Abid Hussain will welcome the Bradford squad to City Hall for the celebration at 7pm.
It will give the ten Bulls players named today in England's 23-strong squad for the Women's Rugby League World Cup a chance to say 'bon voyage' ahead of their trip to Australia next month.
Councillor Hussain said: "Bradford has a long and proud tradition in rugby league. It is therefore fitting that the fantastic Bradford Bulls Ladies team have become the winners of the first-ever Women's Super League Grand Final, writing a new chapter in our district's sporting history.
"I hope their achievements will inspire others to take up this great sport."
The Bulls, who have gone through the whole season unbeaten, wrapped up a double at the weekend when they beat Featherstone in Manchester. This added to their Challenge Cup-winning triumph over Rovers back in July.
