Birkenshaw finish off their Pennine League Division One season seeking the double when they journey to Crigglestone All Blacks.

Birky posted a 36-22 win on home ground to end the Wakefield sides promotion hopes and, while they will miss the services of top try-scorer Damian Smith and veteran packman Paul Bancroft, they will have speedster Richard Rhodes and old hand Simon Armitage back as they seek to improve a run of eight wins from their last ten games.

Wyke also have the chance to bow out of the Division Two campaign in a blaze of glory when they welcome unbeaten Thornhill to Towngate.

The Dewsbury side are playing well below their weight, with a number of seasoned former internationals in their ranks, and will be competing at a much higher level next term.

The black and whites, in contrast, have lost their way somewhat, losing their last three outings.

However, they have two formidable weapons in their armoury in prop Ian Wormald, who is the best forward in the division, plus the speed and guile of three-quarter James Dewhirst, who is a proven match winner.
