There is a huge game in prospect in the Pennine League Premier Division on Saturday when local rivals Clayton and Wibsey Warriors clash at Scholemoor Road.

Clayton sit in fifth place but a win for the Warriors would see them leapfrog their fierce rivals.

History shows that home advantage counts but, with Andy Robinson on form and Danny Belcher always a danger, Wibsey will be confident of victory.

West Bowling entertain St Joseph’s in a massive game at the foot of the table.

Player coach Ricky Helliwell will be hoping last week’s lay-off will benefit his side as they go in search of two much-needed points.

Queensbury have the chance to lift themselves off the bottom if they beat Slaithwaite Saracens and Bowling do them a favour against St Jospehs.

Coach Andy Senior will check his casualty list over the coming days but prolific winger Scott Swann should be available.

In Division One, league leaders Bank Top Harriers welcome third-placed Moorends Thorne Marauders in what is likely to be a test of their promotion credentials.

Adam Mitchell is the one to watch for the Harriers.

Birkenshaw face a tough test when second-placed Crigglestone All Blacks come to town.

Coach Jason Hirst has Paul Bancroft lined up for his return while a number of others face fitness tests.

Both Odsal Sedbergh and Wyke have the opportunity to ease themselves away from the Division Two relegation zone with a victory when they take on Sharlston A and Illingworth respectively, while in Division Six, Undercliffe Wildboars face local rivals Clayton A in a big derby game.

Leading try-scorer Kaz Ahmed is in blistering form and props Mike Stephenson and Josh Page make a welcome return.
