Clayton left the Pennine League Premier Division in fine style thanks to a late penalty from Phil Redgrave which secured a 16-14 away win at Keighley Albion.

Birkenshaw – who are hoping to replace them – retained second spot in Division One with a 42-10 success at Keighley Town.

Dave Scriven posted a hat-trick and Tom Clough, Andy Hirst, Ben Cousen, Ross Gratton and Eddie Filtness also made the whitewash. Gary Proctor landed five conversions.

West Bowling A’s former Hunslet Hawks prop Steve Pryce showed his prowess with a powerhouse three-try performance in his side’s 28-14 win at Kings Cross. Danny Loxam and Ian Wormald made the try line and Bob Benn kicked four goals.

Odsal Sedbergh’s long-serving player-coach Gary Priestley signed off with a 54-22 Division Three home win against Hoyland Vikings.

Sedge were in command from start to finish, with Robert Priestley the man of the match with four touchdowns. Further tries came from Jonathon Ward, James Sharp and Tom Middleton to end the season in fine style.

Popular stalwart Priestley will be replaced by duo Steve Brown and Luke Sellers next season.

Wibsey Warriors A secured the Division Seven title with a 52-24 win at runners-up Kings Cross A.
