A LATE try from Aiden Batey earned Bradford Dudley Hill a share of the Division Two spoils in a 24-24 draw against Kingstone Press National Conference League visitors Oulton Raiders.

Second-placed Hill looked to be strolling to a likely victory at Parry Lane when they posted two early scores by wingman Liam Naven and stand-off Dave Halley, both converted by scrum half Simon Sewell.

This earned a 12-0 advantage but then the lively Raiders hit back to establish a 14-12 lead going into the interval.

Centre Andy Walker reached the chalk shortly after the restart to edge Hill in front once more but Oulton looked to have the game in the bag with another scoring burst, before full back Batey made the whitewash with two minutes to spare until the final whistle.

Elsewhere, Wyke stalwart Darren Barraclough has hung up his boots following his side's 40-12 defeat at Eastmoor Dragons in the Pennine Supplementary Cup semi-finals.

The black and whites' second string posted two tries from James Cullen and Shaun Godfrey but all the attention was focused on Barraclough, who made his exit with a rousing display in the prop forward role.

The long-serving clubman started his 28-year career as a hard-tackling full back and he opted to remain at Wyke despite many overtures to play at the highest level.

Queensbury suffered a 36-26 defeat in their Yorkshire Men's League Premier Division trip to Sharlston Rovers.

The visitors had the Wakefield side well within sight when they changed ends all square at 18-18. Then the Rovers big guns came to the fore to take the second-half plaudits – despite a blistering performance from Queensbury second-row forward Ash Ryan, who scored a hat-trick.

Wibsey Warriors continued their unbeaten Division Two start with a 30-8 home win against Garforth Tigers.

Scrum half Brad Tattersall scored a hat-trick of tries, alongside further solo efforts from stand off Ryan Goldsborough, wingman Dom Kilburn and second-row forward Ben Cousins. Centre Brad Wright completed the tally with three conversions.

Brighouse Rangers crushed Victoria Rangers 70-16 at Russell Way in the same section.

Rangers established a 28-0 interval lead which set the platform for a second-half blitz which had the hosts queueing up to cross the whitewash.

Ben Waud (2), Richie McGlade (2), Andy Esmond (2), Liam Stead (2), Louie Sweeney, Jordan Sild, Karl Frankland and Troy Ambler all figured in the scoring.
