BRADFORD Victoria Rangers coach John Hodgson’s frustrations regarding a lack of players so far this season have rescinded following the return to action of four of their most experienced forwards as they prepare to face Division One high fliers Illingworth at Eccleshill Sports Club tomorrow.

Hodgson, who always has a pragmatic approach to whatever falls the Vics' way, welcomes Carl McGuigan, Ash Yarrow, Sonny Farrell and Mikey Boltwood back into the strong squad to take on the second-placed Halifax visitors.

There are injury worries, however, regarding their play-making loose forward Oscar Woodhead and the industrious utility man Luke Harps. Both have fitness tests prior to the kick-off.

Wyke's young talisman stand-off Coby Kittsen misses his first game in two years when the black and whites travel to Crigglestone All Blacks.

The home encounter finished all square at 12-12 last month after a fiery encounter but coach Warren Pitman’s boys were well out of sorts on the attacking front that day and know they have the ability to take all of the spoils this time.

Brighouse Rangers, who have a number of bumps and bruises following the narrow defeat against Crigglestone last time out, will decide their squad prior to boarding the bus to Cumbrian outfit Dalton.

Rangers will be looking for more of the same after giving Dalton a first-half run-around at Russell Way, with artisan half-back Jamie Barraclough orchestrating the proceedings.

Clayton’s free-scoring loose forward Simon Giles is likely to recover from a slight injury knock in time to make the trip to Division Two strugglers Hollinwood.

Giles, who posted a hat trick in the 68-4 home win at the start of the month, is on fire in the try-scoring stakes and is petrifying the opposition as the Villagers start to climb the table.

Queensbury make the journey to Slaithwaite Saracens in great heart following last week’s memorable win at Division Four table-toppers Wortley Dragons.

Bury have the momentum and the confidence to make it two successive wins on the road, with the squad firing on all cylinders. Half-back Alix Stephenson is proving to be their find of the season and marksman Ethan Sharpe can’t be faulted with the boot.
