CLAYTON play their first home game of the season tomorrow when they welcome Hollinwood in Pennine League Division Two.

The Villagers, who have lobbied the league to have more games at Lidget Green in order to raise much-needed revenue, have a number of new recruits vying for a place in what will be a strong squad.

Prop Chris Anderson, whose late father Mark was a legend at the club in the same jersey, has joined, alongside wingman Karl Spring from West Bowling, while former Bank Top Harriers centre Marcus Foster has returned to action after a two-year lay-off.

Playmaker Phil Redgrave misses out but the news that player-coach Scott Pendlebury has signed a registration form and is ready to turn out when required is a huge boost to morale.

Queensbury have a point to prove when they entertain Selby at Deanstones Lane.

Bury, who just missed out when they fell to a one-point drop-goal defeat at King Cross last week, feel they let a golden opportunity go begging to move into second place in Division Four.

Selby will be no pushovers, having hit form with a 46-18 tally last time out against Slaithwaite, but home advantage and the on-field direction of classy stand-off Jonny Norman should ensure a home success.

In Division One, Bradford Victoria Rangers will be relishing the trip to Cutsyke Raiders.

The Vics have scrum half Josh Hattie firing on all cylinders, and he forms a very dangerous half-back partnership with stand-off Sam Thornton.

Prop Ash Yarrow, also in fine fettle, leads a strong pack against the high-flying hosts, who are third.

Brighouse Rangers are forced to make changes for the visit to bottom-of-the-table Leeds outfit Whinmoor Warriors, with Jake Hyde, Richie McGlade and Liam Stead all unavailable.

Rangers have strength in depth, however, and select from a squad which sees the return of Ben Collins, Ben Wrightson, Jack Parkinson and Harry Masterman, plus their long-serving prop forward Paul Fairhurst.

Influential half-back Ben Drennan is likely to miss out, following his ankle injury against Dalton.

Brighouse's 11-a-side team have a home game against Cowling Harlequins.
