A CRACKING derby is on the cards when Wyke travel to Leeds rivals Whinmoor Warriors.

Coach Warren Pitman will be pleased will the start they’ve made, winning two of their opening three Pennine League Division One fixtures, in what was known to be a tough division at the outset.

A further victory is certainly achievable against a Whinmoor outfit who have lost both their league games to date.

Ben Kelly is still unavailable for selection but Ryan Exley and Gary Warley are expected to make a return to the fray.

Birkenshaw visit Doncaster club Moorends Thorne Marauders. Moorends have made a strong start to their campaign and have lost just one game. They also have a good attacking game averaging over 30 points per match.

Queensbury start off their Barla Yorkshire Cup campaign on the road at the rather unusually named Reckitts.

The Hull club currently sit third in the Premier division of the Hull & District league. Bury will find the home side to be a tough challenge but will take great confidence from last week’s winning performance at Kinsley Hotel Raiders.

Robson Moore looks set to return for Bury whilst Aiden Hainsworth will be out to continue his free-scoring exploits.

Bury also have youth on their side. Ethan Sharp, Joe Hall, Cameron Parry, Jack Brown and Jed Townsend were all playing junior rugby until recently.
