THE eagerly-awaited opening round Jack Senior Memorial Bradford Cup tie between Wyke and Odsal Sedbergh looks certain to go ahead at the third time of asking at Towngate Rec (2pm).

The first game was postponed due to a waterlogged surface and the second game was abandoned due to a snowstorm prompting the Bradford ARL to rule that if the Wyke pitch is unfit this time the match must be switched to Odsal Sedbergh’s home at Odsal Rec.

Both sides have good news on the selection front before the kick-off.

The black and whites welcome back centre Ryan Exley who missed last week’s game with a leg strain and club captain Ian Watkinson will also be pushing for a shirt, having recovered from a broken hand.

Sedge breathe a sigh of relief that strong running wingman Oliver Priestley and workaholic hooker Shaquille Jones now have a clean bill of health.

Prop Kyle Terry is also pencilled for his first outing in a derby that is the first rung on the ladder to the Provident Odsal Stadium finals, which will take place on Sunday, May 1.

Undefeated table toppers WEST BOWLING are seeking to post a double when they clash horns with Upton at Emsleys Rec (2.30pm).

The away encounter saw Upton having two players dismissed as Bowling battled to a 20-12 win.

Bowling were not happy bunnies last week when Morley Borough failed to show up in the much troubled Premier Division that only consists of five teams.

QUEENSBURY also look on course for another success against visitors New Earswick All Blacks at Deanstones Lane in what is a vibrant Championship Division competition.

Bury, who are on a roll after two away wins – including a 16-6 success against the York side on their recent travels – select from the full squad that triumphed at Stainland Stags last time out.

VICTORIA RANGERS will be looking to halt their slide down the Division One Table against fourth-placed Lindley Swifts, while high-scoring Division Three West leaders CLAYTON face a tricky away encounter at unpredictable WORTH VILLAGE.

BIRKENSHAW will also be looking to pile on the points when they host bottom of the table Boothtown Terriers A in Division Four West.
