Wibsey Warriors will travel to Thornhill Trojans on Saturday for their Hamuel Reichenbacher Yorkshire Cup semi-final replay with a siege mentality, following last week's abandoned game.

The Warriors were narrowly behind 12-4, having had a try disallowed, when playmaker scrum half Luke Helliwell was pole-axed by a head-high tackle and had to be taken to hospital.

The time taken ruled out any further play, resulting in this weekend's replay at the same venue with the same match officials.

Helliwell has not recovered sufficiently to resume his pivotal role, and full back Jimmy Waddington also misses out with a cut lip.

Coach Jason Hirst will have to juggle his side accordingly but it would be foolish to write off the Wibsey outfit, who have proved many times in the past that they are at their most dangerous when declared underdogs.

West Bowling have utility back Aidy Leek returning to the ranks when they welcome Pennine League Premier Division table-toppers Drighlington to Emsleys Rec.

Marksman scrum half Liam Coe will face a fitness test before the off as West’s, who have only played five league games due to cup runs, seek to lower the visitors' colours and climb the table.

Bank Top Harriers hope to use their Lidget Green pitch to full advantage when Halifax Irish arrive in a relegation clash.

In the Championship, Queensbury will look to last week’s memorable cup success at Keighley as a benchmark when they hit the road once more to meet top-of-the-table Methley Royals.

Birkenshaw will have Nathan Kitson back in action for the Championship Division One journey to Morley Borough.

Kitson, who missed last week’s home defeat at the hands of leaders Illingworth due to Yorkshire county duties, could play a crucial role as Birky take on the hosts with both on ten points each and seeking a thrust into the promotion berths.

Wyke will attempt to climb off the bottom of Division One at Sharlston Rovers A, while Odsal Sedbergh return to action after a fortnight off at Doncaster Toll Bar.

Victoria Rangers, who have posted a momentous 389 points in their ten outings, will be seeking  more of the same when Eastmoor Dragons come to Newlands Sports Club, but West Bowling A will be without Brett Greenwood when they attempt the double at Whinmoor.

However, Glenn Barraclough, Nigel Halmshaw and Alex Sweeney return after injury.
