DAN Parker is named in a Keighley Cougars League One squad for the first time as coach Craig Lingard selected an initial 20-man line-up to face Whitehaven this Sunday at Cougar Park.

One player will drop out ahead of the crunch clash between the teams who currently sit sixth and fifth in the early standings.

Eighteen of the 19-man squad who defeated Newcastle Thunder last Sunday are named, with the player missing out being St Helens loanee Ben Morris, who has been ruled out for four to six weeks with a rib injury sustained at Kingston Park.

Scotland international winger Davey Dixon comes into the initial squad along with Parker, who has recovered from the hand injury sustained in the pre-season defeat at Bradford.

Hamish Barnes (shoulder) and Trae O’Sullivan (head) are ruled out through injury, along with Emmerson Whittel (knee).
