BRENDON Rawlins admits he never thought he'd spend ten years with Keighley Cougars as he looks forward to the next event of his testimonial year.

Leeds Rhinos legends Kevin Sinfield, Keith Senior, Rob Burrow and Jamie Jones Buchanan will all be appearing at Victoria Hall for the next date on Rawlins' calendar later this month.

The question and answer evening is sure to provide plenty of insight and entertainment, with Burrow and Jones Buchanan having just helped Leeds to a record eighth Grand Final triumph. They are set to bring the Super League winners trophy along with them.

Aussie Rawlins said: "It should be a good night with the Leeds Rhinos guys.

"There's still a few months left but it's been a great year with the events we've done so far.

"I'm really grateful for all the support I'd had for my testimonial year, especially from MJK Sports Events who've helped to set up the stuff we've done.

"When I came over ten years ago, I never imagined I'd be here a decade.

"In fact it still feels like yesterday when I flew over, but I've loved every minute of it and I've got no regrets."

The evening with the Rhinos quartet will take place on Saturday, October 28, with tickets priced at £30 - or £40 for a VIP ticket, which includes a photo with the four Rhinos legends.

A sum of the money raised on the night will be donated to the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund, set up by the former Keighley player's wife, Lizzie, after he tragically passed away, suffering from cardiac arrest on the field in May 2015.

"Jonesy was a good friend of mine and I'm still close with his family, so it means a lot that I can use my testimonial year to donate to the fund," Rawlins said.

"I'll be donating some defibrillators to local rugby league clubs around Keighley too, which is what it's all about."

The evening follows the end of the Cougars' season, which finished prematurely last month when the team failed to make the Super Eights play-offs.

Rawlins and his team missed out by just two points, suffering defeat in their final game to a Barrow Raiders side who went on to secure promotion from Kingstone Press League One.

But, after a promising first season for new coach Craig Lingard, the prop is confident that the team can improve in 2018.

"I definitely think the top four is a realistic target for us next year," said Rawlins.

"We've signed some top players and, if we're not pushing for those top places and finishing there next year, I think we'll need to have a proper look at ourselves."
