Keighley Cougars have officially asked for an extraordinary general meeting of the Rugby Football League board over the dual-registration player ineligibility saga.
Cougars chairman Gary Fawcett confirmed he had sent the request today, with Wakefield Wildcats, Sheffield Eagles, Barrow Raiders and Hunslet Hawks supporting the club in their submission.
The decision to reinstate both Batley and Doncaster's docked points for fielding an ineligible player affected Keighley and Sheffield's final league positions in the Championship, meaning Cougars were relegated and causing financial ramifications to them both.
