Sugden geared up for new season

Things are hotting up for Bradford driver Tim Sugden as he approaches the start of the 2008 season.

Sugden begins the defence of his 2007 Porsche Asian Carrera Cup title at the Malaysian Grand Prix at Easter.

Before that he has signed to drive an Aston Martin DBRS 9 in the Mobil Sebring 12 Hour Race on March 15, where he will take on the best teams in American GT racing.

"This will be my fourth Sebring," said Sugden. "The atmosphere is amazing and it is a truly classic event.

"I have driven the Aston Martin briefly in the past. It is a pleasure to drive and I am really looking forward to the event."

Sugden aims to compete in all four of the major long distance races this year: the Daytona 24, the Sebring 12, the Le Mans 24 and the Spa Francorchamps 24.

He has already finished fourth th in the Daytona race.
