    Tempers flare in Bulldogs defeat

The Bradford Bulldogs lost an ill-tempered match against Blackburn Hawks at the Blackburn Ice Arena 7-4.

The Bulldogs got off to a flying start with two goals inside the first five minutes.

Josh Stockton scored from a Matt Viney pass then Viney took advantage of a Blackburn mistake.

The Hawks fought back, scoring four unanswered goals in the second period, before David Bartholomae scored from a Viney pass to make it 4-3.

Blackburn went on to score three more goals in a third- period spree, with the Bulldogs' consolation goal coming from Sean Alderson.

The match then got ugly and Blackburn ended the match with four players off the ice due to fighting.

Michael Flethcher and Aaron Dad were also sent off for fighting as things boiled over.

The under 16's went down 6-0 at home to Manchester.
