TOOLSTATION Northern Counties East League leaders Cleethorpes Town are back in the area tonight as Thackley welcome them for a Premier Division top-four clash, just three days after they faced Liversedge.

The Dennyboys and Cleethorpes were title rivals before the turn of the year but Thackley’s promotion hopes have disappeared.

With no play-offs in the top tier, despite Chris Reape’s side being fourth, their season is over, but they would love to take at least a point from the visit of the Owls.

They are two points clear at the summit with three games in hand and are looking forward to the FA Vase final at Wembley next month.

Liversedge made the Owls work for their win at Clayborn.

Jonathan Rimmington’s men took an early lead and came from a goal down to go into the break all-square at 2-2 before Cleethorpes ran out 4-2 winners.

Sedge know they are in for another tough game at Clayborn.

Tonight’s visitors are lowly Parkgate, who are third from bottom but battling for their lives.

They are four points below the safety mark but have two games in hand on fourth from bottom Barton Town Old Boys, the club immediately above the drop zone.

Brighouse Town come from a goal down to share the spoils with neighbours Ossett Town in a keen Evo-Stik Division One North derby last night.

The first half was goalless but the visitors edged in front when Ashley Jackson broke the deadlock just before the half-hour.

Ten minutes later, James Pollard capitalised on an error by the visitors’ keeper to slot in the equaliser.

Paul Quinn’s Brighouse remain ninth, still four points outside the play-off places, after their 17th stalemate of the season.

However, Ossett climbed above Colne and back into the top five thanks to the point earned at the Dual Seal Stadium.
