BRIGHOUSE Town Reserves defeated RIASA East 4-1 in the Lancashire League.

Tom Robinson put Brighouse in front after only five minutes but RIASA equalised before Adam Shaw restored Town's lead before the half-time break.

Lamin Janneh made the score 3-1 and, with ten minutes remaining, Ethan Nixon completed the scoring for Town. Brighouse's assistant manager Barry Thomas said: "We completely dominated the first half, and in the second period we continued to pressure them all over the pitch. It was a well-deserved victory."

Thackley Under-19s lost their Northern Alliance League match 4-0 against Ossett Town.

The first 20 minutes belonged to Thackley but they couldn't break through, and Ossett scored twice against the run of play.

It was the same story in the second half as Ossett scored another two goals in the last 15 minutes.

Thackley's Mark Bywater said: "Ossett were second in the league but the scoreline was very flattering for our opponents."
